Crystals have been used as an aid to healing since before Ancient Egyptian times. It is only in recent times, however, with advances in the areas of geology and quantum physics, that we are beginning to understand the relationship between sentient, organic beings such as humans and the inorganic matter which is a crystal. One possible explanation for the way in which crystals heal is that many of the elements found in crystals and minerals are the same as those present in humans and animals such as iron, magnesium and copper, therefore we contain similar vibrations or energy patterns in our physical make-up.
Crystal healing works at a vibrational or subtle level utilising both the colour and energy of each individual stone. Where there are energy blockages in the body caused by accident, injury, stress or illness, crystals can be used to help redress this imbalance.
As with all healing, it is a case of restoring balance to all four bodies - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - to maintain and sustain health and vitality.
The crystal healing process can be extended by carrying or wearing a crystal and also by incorporating them into your environment, both at home and at work. You can also take crystal elixirs
A crystal healing treatment is deeply relaxing and usually involves using a combination of dowsing, griding (placement of stones on and around the body) and hands-on healing.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is healing in its truest sense.
