All prices shown on the web site are in pounds sterling (£ GBP) and are inclusive of any UK taxes.

    Credit/Debit Cards Currently we only accept credit/debit card payments via PayPal.  PayPal accept all major credit and debit cards and you do not need to have a PayPal account, or even have to open one, to pay by this method. If you do wish to open a PayPal account, you can find out how to set one up by clicking on the logo at the foot of this page. 

    Credit Card Security Your credit/debit card details are entered directly on to the PayPal web site and never passed to Patinkas. Any information entered on the PayPal web site is encrypted in transit using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and the highest commercially available encryption key length of 128-bits. PayPal is a secure and easy way to make payments on the internet, and it is our preferred payment choice.

    Cheques  We accept payment by cheque drawn on a UK bank.  If paying by cheque please DO NOT use the Checkout system, i.e. do not click the ‘Add to Basket’ button.  Send us an e-mail quoting the reference number for the item(s) - which can be found in grey text, i.e. 
    Ref: PAquaAura - followed by the item code you wish to buy and state clearly that you will be sending payment by cheque.  Include the following details in your e-mail:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Item reference(s)
  • We will e-mail you back with details of the total amount due including P&P.  Goods will be dispatched immediately after your cheque has cleared our bank - usually within four working days.  Cheques must be made payable to PATINKAS

    e-Cheques via PayPal - special note: If you pay direct from your bank account using PayPal,  (and not via a credit or debit card set up on your PayPal account) this is called an ‘e-Cheque’. This kind of payment take up to 7 days before it clears in our PayPal account (credit and debit card transactions clear immediately). With regret we will not, therefore, be able to despatch your goods until such time as we receive notification from PayPal that your funds are in our account.  

    Reserve Now, Pay Later - Patinkas Part Payment Plan.  This plan is simply and does not involve setting up a credit account or credit checks. You see an item you want, you pay a deposit and we reserve it for you until you finish paying. That’s it. There are no credit charges, no fuss. The above order totals represent the price before P&P costs. The above delivery prices are applicable to all UK orders unless otherwise stated on the item listing. Prices correct as of April 2014.  Special Delivery is a next working day guaranteed service -  by 1pm.  Therefore, if despatched on a Friday, delivery may be next day (on the Saturday), but will not actually be guaranteed until the following Monday.

DELIVERY CHARGES – INTERNATIONAL
PayPal default ‘ship to destination’ country is the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from outside the UK please e-mail us first – BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER to let us know what you would like to buy so we can get an accurate shipping quote. We will then send you a list of options for international shipping to your particular country (shipping is charged at cost).  If you then wish to proceed with an order, we will send you an invoice directly by e-mail for your goods.  This invoice is payable securely online using any of the major debit/credit cards (via PayPal).  See International Delivery Method below for further details on shipping times, insurance and customs charges.

DESPATCH AND DELIVERY
We aim to despatch orders within 3 working days of receipt of cleared payment, from Monday to Friday except UK Bank Holidays, however there may be occasions when this is not possible. If payment is by cheque, goods will not be despatched until payment has cleared our account (usually within five working days). 
    If for any reason there is a delay we will inform you as soon as we possibly can.
    All items shown on this web site are currently in stock unless otherwise stated. If an item happens to go out of stock (such as at times of peak demand), but has not been marked as such, Patinkas will do their utmost to get new stock within a reasonable time. In such an event you would be notified of the potential delay and given the option of waiting for new stock, choosing an alternative item or having your money refunded in full.  

    UK Delivery Method - Unless otherwise specified in the item listing, all goods are despatched via the Royal Mail .  All goods are sent out insured with tracking and with proof of delivery.  Items despatched within the UK with a value of £49.99 or less (not including P&P), will be sent via 1st Class Signed For.  Goods with a value of £50.00 and over (before P&P) will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery (next working day - by 1pm). Both services will require a signature on delivery.  Occasionally we may use a courier service, however, we would always notify you of this prior to despatch. Use of courier services will not effect the P&P charges, unless the Buyer has specifically requested an upgrade.

    UK Delivery Time - 1st Class Signed For: delivery in approximately 1 to 3 days.  Special Delivery: guaranteed next working day delivery by 1pm. Goods despatched on a Friday via Special Delivery may be delivered the next day (Saturday), but will not actually be guaranteed until the following Monday.

    Your parcel tracking number will be e-mailed to you once your goods have been despatched. All goods will require a signature on delivery. All orders will be sent to the delivery address as supplied by you to PayPal. We cannot deliver to an alternative address, as this would put us in breach of the PayPal Seller Protection Programme.

    International Delivery Method - We deliver worldwide using the Royal Mail as our main carrier, but respectfully ask that you contact us first to obtain international shipping quotes before placing an order.  Courier services such as DHL, FedEx, etc, are used on occasion and can be specifically requested by the Buyer. When you contact us to place an international order, you will be emailed a list of shipping services and prices to choose from, including insured and uninsured options. If you choose a method which has online tracking, your parcel number will be emailed to you once your goods have been despatched. If you don’t contact us for an international shipping quote prior to ordering, we reserve the right to issue you with a PayPal invoice for the cost; choosing a service at our discretion.  International delivery is based on weight and level of insurance required, with prices starting from as little as £5.00. We do not make any profit on international shipping, or even charge for packaging.

    International Delivery Times - Delivery times for Europe are approximately 3 to 5 working days from date of despatch and to the USA and Canada, approximately 5 to 7 working days from despatch. Other destinations vary - please contact us for details if required. Delivery times quoted are approximate and are supplied to us by the carrier (Royal Mail or courier company).

    Important Notes for International Customers:

  • Insurance - If you choose a shipping service that does not carry insurance or do not pay for adequate insurance cover for your goods, Patinkas cannot be held responsible for items that go missing or become damaged in transit. We take every care when packing your goods to ensure that they reach you in pristine condition.
  • Customs Charges - Customs and Import Charges are the sole responsibility of  the Buyer, and not Patinkas’. Please check with your local Customs Office for details of possible import taxes in your country.
  • Delivery Address - All orders will be sent to the delivery address as supplied by you, the Buyer, to PayPal. Please check these details carefully when placing your order, as Patinkas cannot be held responsible for errors in your address and we will charge to re-send goods due to incorrect delivery address details being supplied.  We cannot deliver to an alternative address, as this would put us in breach of PayPal’s Seller Protection Programme.
  • Prohibited Goods - It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to ensure that any purchase made from Patinkas does not contravene your country’s (the delivery destination country’s) import regulations regarding restricted or banned goods. Patinkas cannot be held responsible for any items detained, withheld or destroyed by customs officials at the country of entry owing to any such contravention.

CONFIRMATION OF ORDER 
After paying you will receive an e-mail confirming your purchase together with information regarding payment and delivery.  If for any reason you do not receive this e-mail within 48 hours of placing your order, then please get in touch with us.

    COPPA Ruling  Please note that in accordance with the rules and regulations as set out in the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) we [the Operator*] do not accept enquiries from children under the age of 16.
        The COPPA regulations are intended for US sites only; however as the internet is a global platform we have elected to recognize and adhere to the COPPA ruling.
        The COPPA ruling is intended to protect the privacy of children under the age of 13 but we, the Operator, have chosen to implement a 16 years and over policy.

DAMAGED GOODS
All UK orders are sent out insured and whilst all of our goods are wrapped extremely well and with great love and care, regrettably, on occasion (but thankfully rarely) an item may get damaged in transit.  If you receive an item which has been damaged in transit - whether in the UK or overseas - it is important that you keep ALL OUTER packaging as it will almost certainly be needed in order for us to make an insurance claim. We recommend that customers outside of the UK photograph the damaged packaging and send a copy of the photo to us in the first instance.  In such an event we will, where at all possible, replace the item for you.  If the item is a one-off and, therefore, irreplaceable, you will be offered an alternative. If this is not acceptable, then a full refund will be made. Please read the information below carefully and we will endeavour to rectify the matter for you as soon as possible. 

    UK Orders To qualify for a replacement, suitable alternative or refund in lieu of a damaged item, we respectfully ask that you notify us immediately in writing of any such incident by email to: enquiries@patinkas.co.uk .  Notification of a damaged item must be sent to us within three working days of receipt of damaged goods. In order that we can deal with this matter efficiently and effectively, we ask that you return the damaged item to us at your earliest convenience to the address shown at the top of your delivery note, together with the original outer packaging (this is a condition as stipulated by the Royal Mail, not Patinkas). Unfortunately, if we are not in receipt of the damaged item and original outer packaging, we may be unable to make a claim for compensation.  

    International Orders If an item has arrived damaged, please keep ALL OUTER packaging. We respectfully then ask that, in the first instance, you notify us immediately in writing of any such incident by email to: enquiries@patinkas.co.uk .  Notification of a damaged item must be sent to us within three working days of receipt of damaged goods. We will reply to this email with further details of how  to proceed. We ask that you keep all outer packaging as we will almost certainly need to provide the shipping carrier with proof of the damaged packaging - usually by photograph with international orders (those delivered outside of the UK). Where an international customer has chosen an uninsured shipping method or has not purchased adequate insurance to cover the value of the goods, regrettably Patinkas cannot be held responsible and, therefore, will not be able to provide a replacement, alternative or refund against the damaged item or items.

UNDELIVERED GOODS
Goods not received within 15 days of the expected delivery date (Royal Mail state that this is within 28 days for 1st Class Signed For and within 10 days for Special Delivery items) may be eligible for a refund (this time span is stipulated by the Royal Mail and not Patinkas). If we have duplicate items in stock you will be offered these by way of a replacement, if not we will progress your claim for a monetary refund.  In order to make a claim for undelivered goods you must contact us either in writing or by e-mail. Please quote your Order Number, which can be found at the top of your order confirmation e-mail and your Parcel Tracking Number (this number would have been sent separately  via an e-mail from PayPal at the time your goods were dispatched). Please note that all goods sent out require a signature on delivery.  We can, therefore, verify successful deliveries with the Royal Mail.

UNDELIVERABLE GOODS
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that their delivery address details are current and correct at the time of payment. Patinkas will despatch to the address as provided by PayPal. In special circumstances we will despatch to an address different from the one provided by PayPal, but only after we have received a specific written request from the PayPal account holder to do so. Patinkas cannot be held responsible for goods being returned, lost or stolen due to incorrect delivery details being given at time of payment.  If your goods are returned to us marked ‘Undeliverable’, ‘Return to Sender’ or similar, it will be the responsibility of the Buyer and not Patinkas to pay for additional postage/shipping to forward goods to the correct address.

YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
You have the right to cancel within 7 days of placing your order. If you do decide to cancel, you should notify us by email of your intention within the stipulated time above. If at the time of cancellation your goods have already been despatched by Patinkas, you can either refuse the goods when Royal Mail attempt to deliver, or if already received,  they must must be returned to us in unused, pristine condition and in their original packaging. Return postage is at your own expense. We strongly recommend using an insured and signed for delivery method as Patinkas cannot be held responsible for any items that may get lost or become damaged in transit on their way back to us.  Once received and checked, we will issue your refund (less the original postage and packaging fee if they’ve been despatched at time of cancellation), within 7 working days. Refunds will be issued in the manner in which goods were purchased; for example, to your PayPal account if the original transaction was via PayPal and by cheque if you originally paid by cheque.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS
In addition to your statutory rights within the UK, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, then you may return your goods to us for a full refund. You have 14 days (from date of delivery) in which to notify us of your intention to return the goods and 21 days from date of delivery in which to send them back to us. Provided the goods are returned in unused, original condition and are carefully packaged, a full refund less delivery charges will be made within 7 working days of our receiving your returned goods.  It is advisable to use postal tracking when returning your goods to us, as Patinkas cannot be held responsible for goods which go missing when being returned. If you do not use parcel tracking, and your goods went missing, with regret, we would not be able to issue a refund. Our ‘Returns and Refunds’ policy in no way affects your consumer statutory rights.

COMPLAINTS 
We sincerely hope that you do not have cause for complaint, but in the unlikely event that you do, please contact us by e-mail, giving details of your complaint.  We will act as quickly as possible to rectify any issue or problem you have with our goods or services.  All complaints will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.

DISPUTES, LAW, JURISDICTION AND LANGUAGE 
Patinkas is based in England and is governed by English law. Any dispute shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, English law whereupon the English courts shall have jurisdiction over all disputes.

This web site, www.patinkas.co.uk, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this web site (i.e. your purchase and our delivery) are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. All contracts are concluded in English.
