PAYMENT OPTIONS - UK
Credit/Debit Cards Currently we only accept credit/debit card payments via PayPal. PayPal accept all major credit and debit cards and you do not need to have a PayPal account, or even have to open one, to pay by this method. If you do wish to open a PayPal account, you can find out how to set one up by clicking on the logo at the foot of this page.
Credit Card Security Your credit/debit card details are entered directly on to the PayPal web site and never passed to Patinkas. Any information entered on the PayPal web site is encrypted in transit using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and the highest commercially available encryption key length of 128-bits. PayPal is a secure and easy way to make payments on the internet, and it is our preferred payment choice.
Cheques We accept payment by cheque drawn on a UK bank. If paying by cheque please DO NOT use the Checkout system, i.e. do not click the ‘Add to Basket’ or ‘Buy it Now’ buttons. Send us an e-mail quoting the reference number for the item(s) you wish to buy and state clearly that you will be sending payment by cheque. Include the following details in your e-mail:
- Your name
- Your address
- Item reference(s)
We will e-mail you back with details of the total amount due including shipping. Goods will be dispatched immediately after your cheque has cleared our bank - usually within four working days. Cheques must be made payable to PATINKAS.
e-Cheques via PayPal - special note: If you pay direct from your bank account using PayPal, (and not via a credit or debit card set up on your PayPal account) this is called an ‘e-Cheque’. This kind of payment take between 7 and 10 days before it clears in our PayPal account (credit and debit card transactions clear immediately). With regret we will not, therefore, be able to despatch your goods until such time as we receive notification from PayPal that your funds are in our account.
Reserve Now, Pay Later - Patinkas Part Payment Plan. This plan is simply and does not involve setting up a credit account or credit checks. You see an item you want, you pay a deposit and we reserve it for you until you finish paying. That’s it. There are no credit charges, no fuss. All prices shown on the web site are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of any UK taxes. Delivery charges are shown below and will be added to your PayPal invoice on completion of you order.

The above prices represent the order total before shipping costs. The above delivery prices are applicable to all UK orders unless stated otherwise.
EXCEPTIONS TO FREE SHIPPING: Due to their weight, a few (but not many) items do not qualify for free shipping even when the order is over £150.00. These items are clearly marked in their description.
DELIVERY CHARGES – INTERNATIONAL
PayPal default ‘ship to destination’ country is the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from outside the UK please e-mail us first – BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER to let us know what you would like to buy so we can get an accurate shipping quote. We will then send you a list of options for international shipping to your particular country (shipping is charged at cost). If you then wish to proceed with an order, we will send you an invoice directly by e-mail for your goods. This invoice is payable securely online using any of the major debit/credit cards (via PayPal). See International Delivery Method below for further details on shipping times, insurance and customs charges.
DESPATCH AND DELIVERY
We endeavour to dispatch orders within 2 working days of receipt of cleared payment, from Monday to Friday except UK Bank Holidays. If payment is by cheque, goods will not be despatched until payment has cleared our account (usually within four working days).
If for any reason there is any delay we will inform you as soon as we possibly can.
All items shown on this web site are currently in stock unless otherwise indicated by ‘Temporarily Out of Stock’ displayed alongside the product description.
UK Delivery Method - All goods are despatched via the Royal Mail unless otherwise specified in the item listing. All goods are sent out insured. Items despatched within the UK with a value of £34.00 or less are sent via 1st Class Royal Mail Recorded Delivery Signed For. Goods worth between £35.00 and £500.00 are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. Your parcel tracking number will be e-mailed to you once your goods have been despatched. All goods require a signature on delivery.
International Delivery Method - We deliver worldwide using the Royal Mail as our main carrier. Courier services (DHL, FedEx, etc) are used on occasion and can be specifically requested. Delivery times for the USA and Europe are approximately 3-5 days from date of despatch. Other destinations vary - please contact us for details. When you contact us to place an international order, you will be emailed a list of shipping services and prices to choose from. If you choose a method which has online tracking, your parcel number will be emailed to you once your goods have been despatched. International delivery is based on weight and level of insurance required, with prices starting from as little as £3.00.
- Insurance - If you choose a shipping service that does not carry insurance or do not pay for adequate insurance cover for your goods, Patinkas cannot be held responsible for lost, missing or damaged items
- Customs Charges - Customs and Import Charges are the sole responsibility of the Buyer, and not Patinkas’. Please check with your local Customs Office for details of possible import taxes in your country.
- Prohibited Goods - It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to ensure that any purchase made from Patinkas does not contravene their country’s (the delivery destination country’s) import regulations regarding restricted or banned goods. Patinkas cannot be held responsible for any items detained or withheld by customs officials at country of entry owing to any such contravention.
CONFIRMATION OF ORDER
After paying you will receive an e-mail confirming your purchase together with information regarding payment and delivery. If for any reason you do not receive this e-mail within 24 hours then please get in touch with us.

DAMAGED GOODS
Whilst all of our goods are wrapped extremely well and with great love and care, sadly, on occasion (but thankfully rarely) an item may get damaged in transit. If this has happened, then please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused. In such an event we will, where at all possible, replace the item for you. If the item is a one-off and therefore, irreplaceable, you will be offered an alternative. If this is not suitable then a full refund will be made. Please read the information below carefully and we will endeavour to rectify the matter for you as soon as possible.
UK Orders To qualify for a replacement, suitable alternative or refund in lieu of a damaged item, we respectfully ask that you notify us immediately in writing of any such occurrence (by email to: enquiries@patinkas.co.uk or use the ‘Contact Us’ facility on this web site). Notification of a damaged item must be sent to us within three working days of receipt of damaged goods. In order that we can deal with this matter efficiently and effectively, we ask that you return the damaged item to us at your earliest convenience to the address shown at the top of your delivery note, together with the original outer packaging (this is a condition as stipulated by the Royal Mail and not Patinkas). Unfortunately, if we are not in receipt of the damaged item and original outer packaging, we are unable to make a claim for compensation.
International Orders If an item has arrived damaged, we respectfully ask that in the first instance, you notify us immediately in writing of any such occurrence (by email to: enquiries@patinkas.co.uk or use the ‘Contact Us’ facility on this web site). Notification of a damaged item must be sent to us within three working days of receipt of damaged goods. We will reply to this email within 24hours with further details as to how to proceed . Where an international customer has chosen an uninsured shipping method or has not purchased adequate insurance to cover the value of the goods, regrettably Patinkas cannot be held responsible and, therefore, will not be able to provide a replacement, alternative or refund against the damaged item or items.
UNDELIVERED GOODS
Goods not received within 15 days of the expected delivery date (10 days for Special Delivery items) may be eligible for a refund (this time span is stipulated by the Royal Mail and not Patinkas). If we have duplicate items in stock you will be offered these by way of a replacement, if not we will progress your claim for a monetary refund. In order to make a claim for undelivered goods you must contact us either in writing or by e-mail. Please quote your Order Number, which can be found at the top of your order confirmation e-mail and your Parcel Tracking Number (this number would have been sent separately via an e-mail from PayPal at the time your goods were dispatched). Please note that all goods sent out require a signature on delivery. We can, therefore, verify successful deliveries with the Royal Mail.
UNDELIVERABLE GOODS
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that their delivery address details are current and correct at the time of payment. Patinkas will despatch to the address as provided by PayPal. In special circumstances we will despatch to an address different from the one provided by PayPal, but only after we have received a specific written request from the PayPal account holder to do so. Patinkas cannot be held responsible for goods being returned, lost or stolen due to incorrect delivery details being given at time of payment. If your goods are returned to us marked ‘Undeliverable’, ‘Return to Sender’ or similar, it will be the responsibility of the Buyer and not Patinkas to pay for additional postage/shipping to forward goods to the correct address.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
Under UK law you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of the goods being received. If you do decide to cancel you should notify us of your intention by e-mail as soon as possible. The goods must be returned to us unused and in their original packaging and at your own expense. We will make a full refund to you within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods, minus the original delivery charge.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
In addition to your statutory rights within the UK, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, then you may return your goods to us for a full refund. You have 14 days (from date of delivery) in which to notify us of your intention to return the goods and 21 days from date of delivery in which to send them back to us. Provided the goods are returned in unused, original condition and are carefully packaged, a full refund including delivery charges will be made within 7 working days of our receiving your returned goods. It is advisable to use postal tracking when returning your goods to us, as Patinkas cannot be held responsible for goods which go missing when being returned. If you do not use parcel tracking, and your goods went missing, with regret, we would not be able to issue a refund. Our ‘Returns and Refunds’ policy in no way affects your consumer statutory rights.
COMPLAINTS
We sincerely hope that you do not have cause for complaint, but should you have, please contact us by e-mail giving details of your complaint and your suggestion of how we can resolve the situation. We will act as quickly as possible to rectify any problem you have with our goods or services. All complaints will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
DISPUTES, LAW, JURISDICTION AND LANGUAGE
Patinkas is based in England and is governed by English law. Any dispute shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, English law whereupon the English courts shall have jurisdiction over all disputes.
This web site, www.patinkas.co.uk, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this web site (i.e. your purchase and our delivery) are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. All contracts are concluded in English.
