Brandburg Crystal SOLD Pristine, water-clear Brandburg crystal with a lovely soft mix of colours; Clear Quartz, Smokey Quartz and Amethyst, from Namibia. Brandburg crystals are a delightful type of Quartz which typically comprise of Clear, Smokey Quartz and Amethyst (not all three are always present, however) . The best examples are Clear Quartz with both Amethyst and Smokey Quartz, the latter two of which are usually Phantoms - as with this specimen. They often appear quite 'rugged' with perhaps some nicks or small chips (making them Warrier Crystals also) but this one is absolutely perfect! They can have many curious and beautiful inclusions and you can spend hours just gazing into these extrordinary crystals. It is not unusual to find them with gas bubbles trapped inside them also, and these are referred to as enhydro crystals (people can make the mistake of thinking they are water bubbles, hence 'enhydro'). This little beauty has both Amethyst and Smokey Quartz phantoms albeit the Amethyst is very subtle but it is there nonetheless. It has one tiny barnacle, a stepped shaft along one side and it also has some beautiful inclusions which resemble manifestation crystals (complete crystals enclosed within the main core) but we are certain that these are just pretty inclusions! It is a very good, water-clear example. Brandburg crystals have had a traumatic evolution over millions of years. They have been exposed to many changes in their environment (hence the different colours and inclusions) and have also been subjected to the tremendous physical stresses and pressures experienced during our Earth's development. This process, however, has made them one of the best crystals for soul retrevial work.  They can help us rediscover, and therefore start to heal ancient wounds (they have a very ancient feel to them). They can reconnect us to a time when we experienced extreme trauma, either in this life or more usually in a previous incarnation, where a small part of our soul was 'cleaved' away by this traumatic situation.
